We understand how uncomfortable dry eye can be. However, it’s a manageable condition, with many ways to relieve your symptoms.
We’re here to help you find the right approach for your unique needs and preferences.
E-Eye IRPL
E-Eye IRPL is a noninvasive procedure that uses infrared light to stimulate tear production. This technology targets specific nerve endings in the eye that control tear production. This helps increase tear flow and provides relief from dry eye symptoms.
Hot & Cold Therapy Mask
The I-RELIEF therapy eye mask can provide soothing relief to irritated, sore eyes caused by dry eye disease.
The thermal therapy can relieve some symptoms immediately, while supporting longer-term comfort with use over time.
Eye Drops
Dry eye-specific eye drops can help effectively manage dry eye symptoms. Our recommended drops go beyond what’s typically available at drugstores. These specialized, preservative-free drops can add moisture to lubricate and soothe your eyes.
We carry I-DROP PUR, I-DROP PUR GEL, I-DROP MGD drops, plus I-DEFENCE ointment. Each is formulated to address dry eye based on the severity and underlying cause. Your eye doctor can guide you in choosing the ideal eye drops for you.
Eyelid Hygiene
Keeping your lids clean, cool, and refreshed can provide welcome relief from dry eye symptoms. I-LID ’N LASH wipes soothe the skin around your eyes with hyaluronic acid and glycerin while removing unwanted debris from your lids and lashes.
Common Symptoms of Dry Eye
Dry eye can manifest in various ways, and not everyone experiences the same symptoms. Some common symptoms include:
- Dryness and grittiness
- A burning or stinging sensation
- Redness
- Blurred vision or difficulty focusing
- Sensitivity to light or glare
- Thick, sticky discharge in the eyes
Causes of Dry Eye
Dry eye happens when your eyes don’t produce enough tears or when tears evaporate too quickly. Your tear film needs a healthy balance of nutrients, oils, and mucus to nourish and wet the eye’s surface.
Environmental factors, such as dry air, particularly in winter or air-conditioned spaces, can increase tear evaporation. Wind, sun exposure, and pollution can irritate your eyes and worsen symptoms.
Long periods of screen time can also lead to dry eyes, as we tend to blink less when we’re focused on a screen.
Diagnosing Dry Eye
To diagnose dry eye, we’ll perform several noninvasive tests, such as measuring tear production, assessing the quality of your tears, and checking your eyes for any signs of inflammation or irritation.
We’ll need to know your symptoms, daily habits, and any medications you’re taking. We’ll also perform a comprehensive dry eye analysis to better understand your condition.
This information will help us determine the underlying cause of your dry eye and recommend appropriate treatment options.
