Our team works hard to provide warm, professional service to keep your family coming back. Over time, we can get to know a patient’s eyesight very well; this helps us offer preventative health advice and lets us catch any potential conditions or changes before they become a problem.

Angela was attracted to the field of eye care by chance. The receptionist has six years of experience and has been with Spruce Grove Vision Care for just under one year. She loves interacting with her coworkers and patients.

licensed Optician / Contact Lens Fitter
Cassey is a second-year Contact Lens student at NAIT. With three and a half years experience in the optical field, she has been with Spruce Grove Vision Care for two and a half years. She started the optical program at NAIT in 2011 and became a licensed optician in 2013. She has chosen to continue her studies with the Advanced Contact Lens Fitting Course because she loves learning about the health of her patients’ eyes, and helping them with their vision.
The best part of the job for Cassey is seeing her patients’ reactions when they get glasses for the first time and can finally see clearly.

Where did you grow up? I grew up in Tomahawk.
What’s you’re a favourite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon? My favourite way to spend a weekend is going out to my parents’ farm and helping out.
What indulgence could you not live without? I could not live without ever having access to the country.
If you could have a superpower what would it be? If I could have a superpower I would have the ability to be invisible.
If you could have any other job in the world, what would it be? If I could have any other job in the world, I would probably choose to be an ultrasound/X-ray technician.
Licensed Optician and Office Manager
Karen stumbled across the world of eye care by chance. She went to an interview for a receptionist job at Sears and only found out at the last minute it was in the Optical Department. She got that job and hasn’t looked back since. After graduating high school, Karen took the two-year Ophthalmic Dispensing course at NAIT to become a licensed optician. She now has more than 16 years of experience, two of those at Spruce Grove Vision Care. Karen loves coming to work because she gets to assist patients every day, whether it’s helping them purchase eyewear, or problem-solving. She also loves managing her talented team at the clinic.

Where did you grow up? I grew up in the North side of Edmonton.
What’s you’re a favourite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon? I enjoy my weekends with my husband and our English bulldog Matilda. We enjoy camping in the summer with friends and hanging with family. I also enjoy sweating it up at a hot yoga class and travelling!
What indulgence could you not live without? Hmm…Carbs
If you could have a superpower what would it be? To steal other superpowers!
If you could have any other job in the world, what would it be? A CEO of a billion dollar company!
Dr. Raminder Gill
Dr. Gill has enjoyed working at Spruce Grove Vision Care for six years now. He graduated from New England College of Optometry in 2009; prior to that he earned his bachelor’s degree in health sciences at the University of Western Ontario in 2004. He was first drawn to the field of eye care because of the variety it offers, a diversity that includes sub-specialties like pediatric optometry or treating ocular disease issues. He also loves the retail aspect of having a dispensary and being able to offer that service.
Meet Dr.Gill: What’s your favorite part of the job? I would have to say meeting and helping people on a daily basis. Its important to be there for those who need your help and I take great pride in that.
Where did you grow up? I grew in Brampton, Ontario, just west of Toronto. My family still resides there to this day
What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon? I’d say spending time with my wife and sons doing family stuff like going to the park or movies. Anytime spent with them is a good day.
What indulgence could I not live without? This is a toss up between burgers and fries or a double chocolate fudge cake (:
If you could have a superpower what would it be? The one super power I would love to have is limitless strength
If you could have any other job in the world, what would it be? The one job I’d love to have in the world is to be the head of the United Nations so I could try to make this world a better place.
